Who We Are

Giftbotics (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website giftbotics.com — an AI-powered custom gift and apparel design platform. We are based in Israel and primarily serve customers in the United States.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data — email address, display name, and encrypted password when you create an account.
• Order data — name, shipping address, and order details when you make a purchase. Payment processing is handled entirely by WooCommerce and third-party payment gateways — we never see or store your card number.
• Design data — AI-generated designs you create and choose to save are stored on Cloudinary (our image hosting provider) and linked to your account.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect this data in aggregate, anonymised form.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device type, collected automatically by our servers and hosting providers.

How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To process and fulfil your orders through our print-on-demand partner, Printify.
• To generate and store your AI-designed artwork.
• To send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
• To improve the Giftbotics platform, including training and refining our AI design models (see “AI & Design Data” below).
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI & Design Data

When you create a design using Giftbotics, you retain ownership of that design. By using our service, you grant Giftbotics a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use generated designs for the following limited purposes:

• Improving and training our AI design systems.
• Internal analytics and quality measurement.
• Platform demonstration (e.g. example designs on our website), unless you request otherwise.

We will not sell your designs to third parties or use them in ways that could personally identify you without your consent.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following trusted third parties, strictly to operate the service:

• Printify — receives your design and shipping address to fulfil your order. Printify Privacy Policy.
• Cloudinary — stores your generated design images. Cloudinary Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic / Recraft / Ideogram — AI APIs used to generate your design. Your design prompts are sent to these services. We do not send personally identifying information.
• WooCommerce / WordPress — powers our store and account system. Hosted on Hostinger.
• Analytics providers — we may use tools such as Google Analytics, which collect anonymised usage data subject to their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and (optionally) analyse site usage. For full details, see our Cookie Policy. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the banner on our site.

Data Retention

• Account data — kept for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after deletion.
• Order data — kept for 7 years to comply with Israeli tax law and international accounting standards.
• Saved designs — kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Usage/analytics data — retained in aggregate, anonymised form for up to 26 months.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights:

• US residents (California — CCPA): right to know what data we hold, right to delete, right to opt out of sale (we don’t sell data). Contact us at admin@giftbotics.com to exercise these rights.
• EU/EEA residents (GDPR): right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
• All users: you can delete your saved designs at any time from your account, and request full account deletion by emailing us.

We will respond to all privacy requests within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, JWT-based authentication, and access-controlled APIs. Passwords are never stored in plain text. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Children

Giftbotics is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Giftbotics after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
